Conceptual Design

I teach tattooing as a conceptual craft, not a trend-driven service.
My seminars are built for artists who want to understand why a design works—not just how to execute it.

In these sessions, I guide artists through the full creative process, from initial concept to final tattoo, focusing on the foundations that create tattoos that last—visually, technically, and conceptually.

What I Teach

I break tattoo design down into core principles that apply across all styles:

  • Balance & hierarchy — how to guide the eye and create visual clarity

  • Scale & proportion — designing tattoos that fit the body naturally

  • Rhythm & flow — creating movement within a composition

  • Functionality — designing for skin, placement, and longevity

  • Emphasis — knowing what matters most in a design and why

  • Unity & sustainability — building cohesive tattoos that age well over time

  • Technique from concept to tattooing — translating ideas into precise execution

These principles allow artists to create work that feels intentional, refined, and timeless.

How I Teach

My teaching style is calm, focused, and detail-driven.
I take complex ideas and simplify them into clear, practical frameworks you can apply immediately. I don’t rush the process or rely on hype—every decision has a purpose.

I want artists to leave my seminars with:

  • Stronger conceptual thinking

  • Clear design structure

  • Confidence in their creative choices

  • A deeper respect for tattooing as a long-term craft

Whether you’re early in your career or refining years of experience, my goal is to help you slow down, sharpen your vision, and tattoo with intention.
